I don’t knoooow, it’s weird watching Doctor Who in English all the time and then doing so in German because of being curious.

But. (Okay, need some explaining there)

You could say that in German, there are two ‘you’s. One is the formal one, you’d use it at work or with people you don’t know much (except children). Then there is the one you use with, like, children, friends or when you’re being disrespectful towards ‘your elders’.

Are the Doctor and Rose being ‘formal’ towards each other? Because In German, they are. Cassandra isn’t really formal towards Rose, but towards the Doctor and Rose and the Doctor towards each other and I was like “wait, they’re like almost-couple-ish, why are they talking to each other like that?”
